Whitney Kelbaugh
Whitney Kelbaugh, LCSWA is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate in North Carolina. She is currently working to complete her credential in Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT). She works alongside her canine companion, Gryffin, who is her co-therapist (optional). She has been a social worker for over 16 years and has spent most of that time providing crisis intervention services to women, children and vulnerable populations. She works with children and adults in the areas of PTSD, Panic Disorder, Crisis Intervention, ADHD, Stress, Trauma, Grief and Loss, Anxiety, Depression, Relationship/Communication Skills, Goal setting, Parenting, Self-Esteem, Conflict resolution, and Social Skills. Her relational approach is person-centered and focused on building a therapeutic relationship based on mutual respect, collaboration, trust and open communication. Whitney utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches in an effort to best meet the needs of each client. Whitney supports gender, sexual, and relationship diversity and provides support in a safe space that acknowledges each individual’s unique abilities and challenges.
Whitney obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work from University of New England in 2012. She currently holds a valid Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate License in the State of North Carolina.
