Niles
Greetings! My name is Niles, like Frasier's brother from the famous TV show. I am a grey tabby cat with green eyes. I have been seeing kids and teens in the Clayton office since 2020. I am a sweet boy who loves my soft bed, to play with my feather toy, and to scratch my scratching posts! I can be playful but I also like my naps. My favorite place to be scratched is under my chin but I mostly get to know people through smell.
I was born around Camp Lejeune in Eastern North Carolina. I was taken in by a nice lady who fostered me for the first few months of my life. Sarah found me after searching for months for a special cat with the right temperament for therapy. When I went home, I was scared at first because I had lived with one family for my whole life. I love being around people, even if they aren't interacting with me, and I will follow them to be in the same room.
I hope to support the people I meet in session by doing fun activities or even by just being there if someone needs support. I am frequently sitting in my bed on the couch beside clients. I am excited to be a part of Animal Assisted Therapy of the Triangle and am looking forward to meeting you!
