Jarrett Blaize

Jarrett Blaize, MSW, LCSWA, earned his Master’s Degree of Social Work with a Specialization in Child Welfare: Children, Youth, and Families from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. Jarrett has previous experience working with children and families in child welfare and therapeutic settings. 

 

As a psychotherapist, Jarrett works with individuals of all age groups, particularly children, adolescents, and young adults. He offers counseling for depression, anxiety, life transitions, relational issues, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem challenges, and unresolved trauma. He takes an eclectic approach to therapy to ensure the needs of all clients are met and relies on: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Talk Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Gestalt Therapy. In addition, he pulls knowledge from an Ecological standpoint to assess how social factors may impact an individuals well being and uses this throughout the treatment process to aid clients. Jarrett’s ultimate goal is to create a safe and empowering space for clients to express themselves freely and take control of their own destiny.
