Animal Assisted Therapy

About Us

Take time to pause

Our Therapy Animals are co-therapists in a triadic relationship, with each therapist and client to accelerate growth and transformation via the mind, body, spirit connection.

Our counseling services are centered around the empirically supported power of the Human-Animal bond to accelerate insight, growth and change. We also offer traditional therapy if you are not sure that animal assisted therapy is right for you. We work with children as young as 6 years old, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Our therapists have a person-centered, holistic approach with a focus on overall mental health and wellness.

Here at Animal Assisted Therapy of the Triangle, we love what we do. From counseling to educating, and workshops we take pride in each pillar of our company. We enjoy creating working relationships within the communities that we serve. We have offices in Clayton, Raleigh, and Wilmington in North Carolina.

Our Values

Mission

Animal-Assisted Therapy of the Triangle believes in the evidence-based healing power of the Human-Animal bond. According to the American Veterinary Association (AVMA, 2018), “The human-animal bond is a mutually beneficial and dynamic relationship between people and animals that is influenced by behaviors that are essential to the health and well-being of both. This includes, but is not limited to, emotional, psychological, and physical interactions of people, animals, and the environment.” Our Therapy Animals are co-therapists in a triadic relationship, with each therapist and client to accelerate growth and transformation via the mind, body, spirit connection.
